Part-Time Bi-Lingual (Spanish) Therapist
Evangelical Child and Family Agency is seeking a qualified individual to fill a therapist vacancy at ECFA Counseling Centers in Wheaton and to teach parenting classes in DuPage County.
Candidates Credentials
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology required
- LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT Licensure desired
- Previous experience is helpful
Description of Responsibilities
This is a part-time counseling position - 2 days, up to 10 hours per week, with a client population that includes children, couples, families, and individuals, most of whom speak little or no English. Some community work may be involved, including teaching parenting classes in Spanish. The individual must be willing to work one or two evenings per week and travel to either our Chicago or Wheaton offices, as necessary. The position is dependent upon receipt of a grant.

Part-Time Safe Families Hub Manager
ECFA is seeking a manager for a new program in DuPage County called Safe Families. We will be working with Lydia Home for this program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services from an accredited institution.
- Driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- Basic knowledge of word processing applications.
- Agree with and sign ECFA’s Statement of Faith.
Basic Function:
- Develop and maintain a network of local churches, service organizations, and civic institutions to benefit the children and parents served through the Safe Families Program.
- Perform all related activities such as (1) making full use of community resources, (2) performing various administrative tasks, and (3) advocating for the well-being of children in safe family homes.
Essential Functions:
- Engage churches to participate in Safe Families for Children and coordinate efforts of partner churches to support parents in need.
- Recruit Host Families through church presentations.
- Facilitate the placement of a child in a Host Family if that need arises. Participate in training for intake and placement procedures. Transport children if necessary.
- Provide case coaching to monitor placements and support Host Families. Recruit and train volunteer Case Coaches and Case Coach Coordinators.
- Facilitate church recruitments of volunteer Family Friends to be mentors to both parents who have their child/children staying with a Host Family and parents who need support but can continue caring for their children.
- Facilitate church recruitment of volunteer Resource Friends to provide physical resources such as clothing, formula or doctor’s services to Host Families.
- Create formal systems of support for Host Families, Family Friends, and Resource Friends.
- Conduct outreach to hospitals, churches, other community service providers to elicit referrals of families that need support or need a temporary home for their children.
Working Relationships:
- Report to the Supervisor the progress of each case and perform record-keeping functions as required. Work in cooperation with other Hubs to ensure a coordinated recruitment and resource development.
- Attend network meetings as they are scheduled.
- Work with Lydia Home Association’s Network Facilitator to determine appropriate metrics and goals to be monitored quarterly to determine progress and needs. Send monthly reports to Network Facilitator.
